I get the following error message when trying to load a couple of instruments:
"The patch you're trying to load cannot be used with this application"
The instruments are from Tonality and FX :: Ambient Pad Tonal
APT Aqua Moans
APT Chillin Major 7
Any ideas?

strange,
I've never heard of that before. Are you loading them in Kontakt Player 2, or Kontakt 2 or 3?

I can confirm that this is an issue with any version of Kontakt or Kontakt Player since the two instruments in question, APT Aqua Moans and APT Chillin Major 7, are 0 byte files. I don't know if this is from a faulty install, a faulty disc (I had to wait 2 weeks for a replacement disc for the first one I got, which was a dud that couldn't even be read in my drive, so I certainly hope this one's not faulty, too), or a big whoops, but it would appear that the NKI files for these two instruments are null files.

Hi RJFitz,
We are not seeing that here on any of our systems. Those 2 files should show as approx. 8KB. Have you downloaded Evolve Update 1? If not, please download from service center, and follow the instructions to install. Hopefully this fixes the issue. And our apologies for the long wait on the 2nd disc, I'm unsure as to why that took 2 weeks.

Hmmm...sorry it's taken me so long to get back to this problem.
I found the same result as RJFitz, i.e., the .nki files were zero bytes. I had installed (I thought) the update but they were still zero bytes. So I tried the update again and this time the files copied properly!
So, YES, now the sounds load! Thanks for info.

Yup, that does indeed fix it. Not sure why the upgrade didn't install properly the first time around (from Native Instruments Service Center), but it works fine now that I've manually installed from the zip file. Thanks.

I have more information as to the cause of this. If you get the update from Native Instruments via the Service Center, you will get the bad files. Get the update directly from Heavyocity and everything will be fine.
Also, when I call up the NI Service Center, it always tells me there is an update to Evolve, even after I update it from there.
